This is part 2 of 2 of Top 10 Exercises For Brides-to-be illustrated by Gemma Milly

6.Squat Jumps
Works them bum and legs.
Top tip: do this one with your bridal hair – look to see if it passes the dance-floor test.
7.Press Ups
Incredible for core and lovely looking arms.
Top tip: go up against your groom-to-be to see if beauty beats brawn.

8.Tricep Dips
Fantastic for back of arms.
9.Pull Ups
Great for biceps, stomach and back. This is one to build up as it needs that extra bit of muscle power.
Top tip: do this one in your bridal make-up to see if it stays in place.

10.Plank
Great for core. Build up to holding this for one minute, squeezing your abs and tilting your pelvis towards your shoulders the whole time.
Top tip: place your vows at top of your mat and read through to learn – a good distraction from the pain of this pose!

Don’t forget

  • Always cool down slowly and gently
  • Stretch each muscle group for at least a minute each
  • Do this 3 times a week
  • Build it up slowly
